Brandon Brice is a fighter for conservative politics. Brandon began his career as an Associate with National Urban League’s Economic Opportunity Institute, fighting for the rights of families and promoting financial literacy throughout the nations 102 affiliates. Due to his determination and concern for fiscal responsibility and government reform, Brandon served as a former New York Republican Judicial Delegate and New York State Committee member for the 70th Assembly District, while working on several political campaigns, including the 2004 Presidential campaign an with the New Jersey Republican Assembly Minority Office.
Brandon has been featured as a guest political contributor on FOX News, Hannity's Great American Panel, ABC’s Here and Now with Host Saundra Bookman, BET’s the Truth with Host Jeff Johnson and Grit-TV with Host Laura Flanders. Brandon is an active writer and blogger with MSNBC's the Grio and is serves as a New York Spokesperson for Republicans for Black Empowerment and the center right blog HipHopRepublican.com. District 35 - Council Member - Working Families
Council Member Letitia "Tish" James was born in Brooklyn.
During her law career, James served as a public defender for the Legal Aid Society and represented countless young individuals in the criminal justice system. In the administration of NYS Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, she was appointed the first Assistant Attorney General in Charge of the Brooklyn Regional Office. In that capacity, she resolved hundreds of consumer complaints and investigated predatory lenders who prey on first-time homebuyers. She assisted the Civil Rights Bureau s investigation of the NYPD's stop-and-frisk policy and cracked down on firms engaged in deceptive business practices including violations of human rights, environmental laws and immigration scams.
James founded the Urban Network, a coalition of minority professional organizations that raises money and distributes college scholarships to inner city youth.
James also chairs the Film Diversity Task Force.
W. Kamau Bell
Stand-up comic best known nationally as the host of the television series Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell which premiered on August 9, 2012. The show, which spotlights commentary and comedic sketches from Bell, is executive produced by Chris Rock, who became a fan of Bell after seeing a performance of his critically acclaimed one-man show, The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About An Hour.. The socio-political comedian and community activist based in San Francisco, is a founding member of the comedy collective "Laughter Against the Machine" and has been featured in a number of prominent podcasts and publications, such as WTF with Marc Maron, Citizen Radio, and Current TV 's The War Room with Jennifer Granholm.
In addition to making a documentary with "Laughter Against the Machine" and releasing two comedy albums, Bell co-hosts the podcast The Field Negro Guide to Arts & Culture with Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid, writes the blog “Kamau’s Komedy Korner” for the San Francisco Weekly, and sits on the board of The Applied Research Center.
