I discovered one of their songs in the documentary called Blank City. It took me weeks to finally get the name of band after watching the movie but eventually I tracked their music down on Amazon. Think Suicide with slightly newer keyboards or Joy Divison with only synths and a drum machine and you kind of have an idea of what they sound like.

= THE ORIGINAL 7 (THE TIME) --- New album by all the original members of The Time, famous for "Jungle Love", "Cool", "The Walk", "777-9311" etc. All are present: Terry Lewis, Jimmy Jam, Monte Moir, Jellbean Johnson, Jerome Benton, Jesse Johnson and Mr. Cool hinself, Morris Day. The album good but what really makes this album package worthwhile is the bonus DVD where they tell their full story. You see how deep their skills go and how much true competition they gave Prince back then, man the stories they tell about Prince hating are nuts and you know they're all true. Minneapolis sound fans MUST get this for the documentary alone. Newsoul, you up on this bro?...
= VAN HUNT --- WHAT WERE YOU HOPING FOR? --- The latest from the alternative soul leader. The name is fitting because this album goes left of most of his other work and is majority rock-oriented and experiemental. If you follow his highly original work you'll dig this, just don't expect the same formula. Well crafted and different.
Hey JJ-M, I like that Frank Ocean song & video you posted. I hope his album is as out there as those releases because most of the mixtape stuff I've checked sounds too similar to what's already out there. I trust he'll bring something fresh to the game.

Stomper98. Great band, love that they put brass back into oi. And german sounds fucking great for oi. The scene gets a bad rap because of all the nazis who get all the press, but there are a shitload of plain old non-political skins there.
