Tried again to give True Blood a chance, it still sucks. Same 2-dimensional cooning Black characters and wack plots.
500 Days of Summer ... starts off really blah, ends quite nicely.
Harry Potter and blahblahblah ... blahblahblah. so long, but i did yelp during the cave scene.
Madea goes to jail. TPs movies are always funny, always throw in some serious issues, but they seem to resolve too easily. I still have to commend him for doing it his way.
Call her Savage

Penn and Teller get killed.

Dr. Horrible's Sing along blog
I saw those biography films of Sarah Vaughn and Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday again. Loved them.
Today was Millenium marathn on that Chiller network. Awesome!! I never tire of that or XFiles.
Tom Jones is on TCM- they rarely show that. And after Carmen Jones and after that The Devil in Mrs. Jones. ...oh, to keep up with the Joneses.
trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrue blood in a minute...
^^^ now (tonight) that's true. forgot it was saturday night yester...night. haha.

anyway

Match Factory Girl ... Dir: Aki Kaurismäki. A finnish film about a sad girl... kind of oddly reminded me of Dangerous Liasons, but not really--just the asshole rich folk and middle class do-nothings and the vulnerable working class (the Girl), except the vulnerable innocent girl isn't so innocent and doesn't just roll over.
Double Happiness ... ha.great.
Watchmen....Loved it....

So much so that the night of I had a dream of someone, some anonymous 2nd person hand putting random items into a grocery kart...and then that letter from the movie just randomly on a desk or counter or something.

But yeah...That's going to be ingrained on my memory for quite some time. I'm even writing my own graphic novel/comic(Which I had started before a long time ago...But became a lil lackadaisical with...Actually I wrote one for my friend. But I need to focus on writing one that's autobiographical. I'm inspired.
I finally got They Live on DVD. So much stuff in this movie is right on time from a philosophical standpoint. I can't say if we are really being ruled by aliens or not, but everything about the constant subliminal messages in in all the symbols and signals we receive to consume, have sex, stay asleep, submit....there's so much truth in it. Movies like this keep me on my toes.
The last movie I saw Desperately Seeking Susan last week, which was okay. It was a free screening with a retro 80's theme.
