Hello there everyone. I'm an artist from Detroit trying to grab the attention of AfroPunk to get a cover pace article about my latest album release. Was hoping I could put it up here and get some reception on it. I'm breaking records here and not getting acknowledge due to lack of funding and advertisement. I'm 23 years old and started rapping ad producing when I was 16. I now have over 30 albums complete, some albums that are half finished and I am not counting those. Last year I released 6 albums, this year I have released about 7 and my latest installment has 200 songs. So as you an tell I'm very serious about my music, all I'm trying to do is reach out to the people to help me get more advertising. I'm not doing this for money st all and you'll notice all my albums are free, I just have a burning passion for the arts.

A red rag on Jesus? It's offensive in a partisan bangin sense. These dudes need to do it like DJ Quik. Everyone knows the history, but it hasn't been all through the music since the safe and sound album. Also, what happened to all the blue affiliated rappers? Am I just unaware or has there always been a dearth of people and folks related mcs? Crucial Conflict is the only group I can think of.
The cover also reminds me of a sermon I heard recently. The pastor said something like "the bible is full of all sorts of people. If Moses was here today, he would be in an orange jumpsuit and cuffs...convicted murderer".

I don't say this lightly or often: Ab-Soul is a lyrical genius and Black Hippy / TDE are the most skilled crew since Wu-Tang, straight up.

I live in the desert, XDDM but these dudes are nice.
Have you heard this song called Thrift shop by Maclemore and Ryan Lewis? Goofy, but a nice beat. The styles on the raps remind me of project blowed stuff from 1995. Weird to hear that on Ryan Seacrest's show in the morning.

Kendrick. Lamar is defintely the truth. Good Kid MAAD City is the most wellrounded and best executed hip-hop album I've heard in along time. He has that rare ability to deliver huge hits (see Swimming Pools-MAJOR hook on that joint) without sacrificing a single bit of content. He gives you food for thought on every song. If he maintains his skills in a few years I can see him being listed among the greats. No question.
