Whether ol' head classicist or newbie rap fan, put it out there.

What you like or don't like, events, music, films, videos, websites, publications, performances, gears, artifacts, etc.

If you're curious have questions or think you know everything about Hip Hop, let's discuss it. This is open but let's be easy on the " f**k pop / ol' school / new school " 'cause there mad other spots to spit vitriol. Hold me accountable too.

It's yours!...

These are from those...

More from the same places...

I feel like there is a place for all kinds of Hip Hop.  I think the main problem we have is that we are given only one example of it.  Like before Sugar Hill Gang and the many songs we have come to know and love, hip hop was already a living breathing thing.  So comments like Hip Hop is dead kinda takes away from the movement. Now if you ask me there are certain areas in hip hop where lyricism and originality is lost because of the way the game is.  People want a gimmick and no character development.  People want to stay comfortable instead of making people push the envelope or encouraging others to go to the next level.   Now rappers will always exist, but as far as MC's they are few and far between.  Everyone nowadays can call themselves a DJ just because they own a dj controller, traktor, or what have you--yet none of them even have the grandest idea about turntablism.... this thread can go on for days.

Anyone in BK heading out to this next week?

The Realness!

Logun that Earl Sweatshirt/Tyler track is dope and CE that artwork is astounding.  The trash containers and dog pieces are so good it's frightening.

Very Cool video. Nobody in the whole crew has daughters though?

Anyway, more graf from those same places listed in the last graf post...
