AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

afropunk 2013

The place to just put out how you feel about anything. Put your emotions & thoughts right now out there; complain, scream, shout out, give props, say 'screw you', say 'thank you', step off, shut up, whatever. Let it out.

Props goes Illaziam the originator who started this with his 'D-Bags' thread. Helped many of us vent out our frustrations, thanks for the carthartic venue Mr. Ill, make your voice heard!

Setting it off:

= Enough with the Obama-mania already. Put a moratorium on the overdone coverage until fall.

= Hey Miss Big Breasses, I believe you know damn well how you look when you leave the house. Yeah it's hot but if you didn't feel secure with that tight spaghetti-strap top that hugs your bouncy DD assets, don't wear it.

You look foolish walking around the supermarket with your arms covering your chest, grabbing your shoulders like you're trying to give yourself a half-nelson. It's part funny & part frustrating ('cause I couldn't get good glance, damn...). For real though, either wear less revealing clothes or deal with the unsolicted male attention (from nasty gawkers like me).

= You, Mrs. High Level Educator from another school, need to stop acting like you want to get hollered at. Keep the flirty looks coming and I will step to you. Regardless of what your rude, bratty daughter thinks about it. See how she likes it when I'm having breakfast at the house and picking her smiling Mom up for dates.
I'm only halfway joking...

= Dude, how many times am I going to ask you to not tell me any plot details of film I haven't seen? I will hang up on you right now...

That is so hiphop. Can I get on?

These days are challenging times, challenging minds full time, with challenging grime

But samurai swords are forged in fire

The words inspire

The truth cut liars

Tempered the blades with hammers

Sharpened the phrase grammar

Walking the path that the warrior walks

Avoiding  the places that the Reaper stalks

Have you seen HipHop.? I really miss her?

She's on the streets now, It's sad but U won't diss her

Every story has an end, Take the good with the bad but its sad when we just following trends

Rappers rhyme about shit that they haven't done

Now it's all about killing but it started as fun

You supposed to be a rapper put down the gun

Sell your people crack rock Now the the devil has won.

I will really miss her, but every story has an ending, whether it's good or bad.

^^^ Word, represent (excuse my ol' school termanology)!  Good collab fam.

Nice.

I was going to say that the homies I saw earlier today who were actually barbecuing on a portable weber grill in front of the local "medical dispensary" were doing way way way too much, but in the midst of this bleak evening I rescind my shaking head. You're flagrant, but you aren't hurting me.

The punk ass muffukka didn't even open the door!!  He left her and her children outside to fend for themselves.  And now her babies are dead.  You wouldn't even open the fucking door!!  She was trying to save her children.  2 and 4.  They're dead because YOU were a fucking asshole.  I hope you burn in hell very soon.

^^^ Peace, respect & welcome DopeFresh.  You may want to post your performance clips in one of the many music forums here on AP specifically for bands.  There you can get heads are down to listen as opposed to this thread about venting your feelings,  Some cats react weirdly to folks pushing their music everywhere on here but I think it's just cool if you simply post where people will hear you.

Welcome again & do share your band's work in the music section and feel free to vent here anytime, peace.

=  I am sooo relieved that we discussed that.  It was about to fester inside my gut and mind if I didn't bring it to the front and we hash out what we really feel about how we communicate and our egos.  It took a minute for both of us to place aside our competitive natures and get down to it.  We understand each others roles and it should move smoother from this point, may not always be perfect harmony but more open.

=  I'm not going to let my disappointment in your selfish actions get me down.  I should be past it but it does bother me at times because of my people involved with you.  But I will still move forward and be as cordial as possible.  Again you need serious help so you can evolve and do right by your child.  You put them both through too much from your heavy self-absorption.  You need to chill and get help.  Not a diss, it will probably assist you.

=  On the flip, I must focus and get more into "Me"  and elavate game.

Wait for it........wait for it.......I'll give it a little more time but I am wondering how the Republicans are going to figure out a way to blame Obama for Hurricane Sandy. "Those evil liberal winds are destroying property that hardworking have built.!!!!!!! Obama wants to blow down your house!"

^^^ I can see that actually happening, K.

=  Might be a rave but I'll go for it here:  we hung out last night finally got along & had a cool convo.  Yeah I had to make the first step but it worked.  We ain't gotta hate each other even if we don't vibe all the time.  We can contiue this positive communication.

=  That's what I get for being a nerd.  I get introduced to that chick at the club & say hi back but don't pull her immediately to floor to dance.  Instead some cat even nerdier-looking but with much more heart dances with her while some drunk dude is chatting in my ear about the music.  I should know better; I deserve the blueberry ballz...

Just when I think there is hope for Black America....

I'm up in Walmart and here this mother say, "I told you, stop throwing that ball. If you it me with that ball again you gonna get it!". I turn around and I see a hood family, two pretty good looking slim hoodrats around 20 and a kid around 6 who belongs to one of them. I was soon to find out who the "mama" was. I turn back around and I see the ball sail into the rump of one of the women with a resounding squishy thud. It's one of those balls that has lot's of little rubber strings on it.

I turn back around and see a white lady pick up the ball, smile and then pass it to the kid. I hear, "Tie-eesha(I assume this is the way it's spelled) If you do it again I'm going to hit you in the throat!!" That's when I hear a little voice say "Damn, I heard you. I ain't gonna throw it!" I look at the kid and then I look at the mom who promptly rolls her eyes at me. I turn back around and hear the "mama" and her friend talking then I hear the "mama" say "That's my baby! I don't care what nobody thinks about her!" She walks by me scowling with her friend grinning and little Tie-eesha looking surprised. All I can think is that there goes two rachets training the next generation of rachets because they think rachetness is ok.

=  I was gonna start off "Fuck (most of) the Police" but I'll simply say "fuck you, wannbe cop".  Yeah you got all extra when I was rolling forward to see which direction I could go, waving your hands yelling like it was a crime scene you were securing.  You were dressed similarly as cop with the uniform but come to think about it, you're just a parking lot attendant trying to act like a traffic cop (now that's extra corny).

You ain't gonna and you didn't spoil the good time I ahd hanging out with my folks, punk.  Keep waving cars by and acting like you have some control over something.  Give a kraka a uniform and he thinks he's Commissioner Gordon.  I don't wish anything bad to happen to you, but you need to check yourself before you get hurt.
