Permalink Reply by Archer on November 16, 2008 at 5:55pm What! How'd you come by that decision? Whatever it is.....good luck and come back safe. I have to say, a lot of folks in and out of my family who have been in the military (be it navy, army, air force, marines, national guard) all learned a lot of useful experience, just on a very basic practical level. Good luck, Grrrrl.

Permalink Reply by Archer on August 31, 2009 at 12:30am WOW! No you're not the only one in the hood. Two years ago I moved back to the first place I grew up in, and let me tell you it's changed a lot. I knew it had (my sis and her hub and kids lived there 20 years) but still, it can wear on a sister who is as good hearted as me.
A family who used to live there when our family did from 1956-1972 just moved back in a few months ago, we talked about those changes but we were both happy to know some people from way back when, that you can trust.
Details, DETAILS, Grrl. When you are going on duty or training or whatever? Where are they sending you? Do you know yet? Good luck. You'll definitely learn some useful skills in the military, keep focusing on that and when you finish your service, you should have some of the basic tools you'll need to go live your life on your own as you really want to.
Peace.
