I'm in New Orleans and would be down to carpool! Otherwise I was just gonna fly.

hmm i've been planning this out and I don't think I can go :/  I don't have enough money for airfare or time because I don't wanna miss a whole week of classes driving, taking a train or greyhound. I decided I will save my money for voodoo fest, have you ever been?

Yeah, voodoo's a blast! I was there last year to see Janelle Monae and had a great time. I bought my ticket off a scalper in fornt of the gates for like $30 compared to the usual $80.

This year I'm not excited about the line-up at voodoo, unfortunately.

Anyway, it's always nice to have a cool new contact in New Orleans! I been hoping to revive whatever afro-punk scene may have existed here. Keep in touch!

okay great! Voodoo sounded fun but i'll have to agree, the lineup is slightly disappointing so far besides Girl Talk but I haven't been to the city since I was 10 so this will be like a mini vacation for me and a couple of my friends.

and cool yeah! maybe you could show me around, we do need to revive or create a new scene in Louisiana! I just transferred to Grambling and was shocked by the lack of individuality so many people try to conform ::tears:: lol

Would be happy to get together while you visit! Halloween is my FAVORITE weekend in New Orleans!

I'm a big Girl Talk fan, too, hopefully I'll make it to the fest that day. Keep in touch -- you can find me on facebook through my page here.

hey! sorry im so late at responding, i didn't have reliable internet connection, anywho sounds good!  i'll keep in touch, looks like i may be buying a single day ticket too and i'll add you on Facebook,im able to check that more often because that site works on my cell phone.
