It depends on how badly you want to live on your own; if living on your own is an urgent necessity, then getting a regular 9 to 5 job is your best bet and saving cash whenever possible. If it is feasible for you (ie. student loans, etc) then grad school can't hurt.
Either way, good luck...I know things are not easy out there.

even if you major in sumthin totally useless (like film studies, or art history).
Why you in a rush to pay bills for?
paying bills suck.
Stay in school forever.
