Two different sounds, that's like saying who was better Frank Zappa or Jimmy Page. Bad Brains and Living Colour are fairly equal, in a way w/o Bad Brains there wouldn't be a Living Colour.

C'mon. Don't cop out. Pick one. I know both were great, groundbreaking groups. I'm gonna go with Bad Brains because of their influence on a genre of music. W/o Bad Brains, there would be no Living Colour, or Minor Threat, or a bunch of other hardcore punk and heavy metal bands.

Bad Brains hands down. Don't get me wrong, I love Living Colour. I mean c'mon, I used to come home from school, grab the remote and lip-sync to the Cult of Personality video. But it's the brains no question. The riffs, the list of bands they've influenced, their musicality while still keeping it punk as fuck and their still in the game....

Those videos aren't fair though, lol! The Brains have home field advantage...
