AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

Breaking down songs ^-^
Starting with intros. I like dramatic intros that slap me in the ears. I like smooth intros that ease me into the song. I love a great intro!
Tell me your 3 songs with great intros. I know I'm only listening to the first few seconds of the song but let's keep it down to 3 for time's sake. (I know it's hard- I had a list of 20 songs with great intros)
Here's my 3:

Anamanaguchi- Power Supply (You just know something good's going to happen)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EXTHoQqBPs

Bedhead- Bedside Table (It's the softest explosion of sound I've ever heard and it's beautiful)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuRplHc55C0

Thunderheist- Jerk It (I'm dancing and the song hasn't even started yet. And mayne! it starts off ''booty booty booty booty booty rockin''. Gotta love that! If you see these tights btw buy them and ship em to me ^-^ I'll pay you for these.)

Knights Of Cydonia-Muse( It's epic, and I've lived a cowboy life, atleast in my own mind, sorry the video is so long but it's worth it)

Oh schnaps!
That is an epic intro. Pure classic!
The video is cool too. Hints of 5 Deadly Venoms and I like the cowboypunk thing going on. I love steampunk art. When I saw the dusty holograms I though, ''Ah yeah!''. I'm not a big fan of Muse so I would have never seen this video otherwise. Thanks for the share.
And thanks for your input on this 'best intros' topic =D

Dark Angel-Black Prophecies: yes! classic metal intro. I know my face will be on the other side of the room in a few seconds.

UFO-Love to Love you: eh, I'm not feeling it but that's just me =)

Thank you so much for your input

it's like you're about to fight the last boss in a video game
Haha - hey, you're right about that, it does sound like you're getting ready for the final showdown with the boss character.

Thanks for the reply =)
--I love mixing the old and the new- MF Doom and most Ninja Tune artists do this to name a few. Mos Def does it and that intro is perfect. ^-^
--Classic.
--And nothing to say but "hells yes!"
Remember these guys? This intro tells you everything you need to know about the song in 5 seconds. Simple, raw, primal energy....

That was one of my "epiphany songs" during my senior year. I had so much faith in the Hives and the Vines to bring actual instruments back.
