Well, they do exist...And these guys are the real deal.

A long time ago I saw a documentary on the Ching A Ling Nomads. What's up with all the blacks and puerto ricans wearing swastikas?

My dad and a couple of uncles were in a club back in the day (70's). They were pretty social as far as image went. Meaning it was a lot of BBQs in Flushing Meadows or Cunningham Park. No flashing boobs like I would see in my Pop's Easyriders mags. But I have heard things would get out of hand on non "family" events when the Black Falcons or Chingalings would show up in Queens. Black Falcons (Bronx) were totally outlaw.

My dad rode a 72 Triumph chopper. Very sweet sled. My uncle had a 69 BSA Rocket he rebuilt himself. Streched springer forks, iron cross mirrors. Growing up around these bikes made me obsessed with choppers and clubs. I didn't even know there were white clubs,besides Hell's Angels of course, until I was about 10 or 11.

* actually CFMC was multi-racial, based out of SoCal it's SFV and SGV charters were mostly white boys, latinos etc.

UPDATE::

My sister told me the name of the group I saw years ago is The Chosen Few, who started out here in the late 50's/early 60's.

Recently, in the Art In The Streets exhbit at MOCA here, there is a display of their clubhouse commemorative members names painting and a video slideshow of photos of members. Its so beautiful to see that. Apparently, the boss here got to see the clubhouse once with a friend of the Chosen Few, and to get permission to have those paintings and images in our exhibit, the club members had to vote on it.

A friend who writes for a local art magazine (online/print) sent this picture he took at the artists reception for AITS last week. He said all the Chosen Few were invited out here and many of them showed up and were cool with everyone there and answered people's questions about their group.

You will see this in the wrought iron gates and stone carved decor of various Buddhist temples (the one in No Hollywood of Thai Buddhist monks is one I saw). There was this older white dude I read interview with who got them tattooed various sizes onhis body in an effort to re educate the public as to good original symbolism of the swastika.

And i sat that film on the ChingaLings a few times years ago too. JL I saw a clubhouse with some older brothers bikers on Long Beach Blvd i think, past the South Bay area. My sis didnt recall their name, but she say they been active since maybe the 60's out here.

Swastikas are OUR symbol. The white man took it from us and made it there's. It's for shock value that's all.

Interesting thread. Motorcycle club culture has been a part of black history since motorcycles were invented. We share the American tradition of club life and yes, there are in fact black 1%ers. The American Outlaw MC culture and tradition is now the birthright of quite a few black kids. As an American it's a part of your history as well.
