Permalink Reply by Tiny Dragon on April 7, 2011 at 9:09pm I have to call bullshit on your assertion that brothas are "actively looking4" whitewomen. If you see a brotha that is with a white woman he probably met the white woman the same way the brother you saw with the black woman met the black woman. They just happened to meet and like each other. People like who they like. There's plenty of brothers out there like me who only date black too.

....also what we have to remember is that most blk wymn are NOT going 2b actively looking4 a whiteman the way brothas do with whitewomen. We are the most single and the most unliked women in this country. If blkmen can't guve us the respect to not berate us and appreciate our staitfowardness "attitude problem", then mayb both should date elsewhere. I'm n shock when i see a sista with a whitedude.u barely see that at all. So what they raped us 400 yrs ago. last time I checked this was a free world and I personally dont blame anyone 4 what their ancestors did. Yea it was REAL fucked up.how about this, did people 4get about indentured servants? I get it, I know why people are against it but they are not making that person happy are they? Its an individuals choice. So l guess cause the blkman missed out on the whtgrrlz way back when its their time now huh? Who gives afuck why do peple always gotta talk about race like its hurting ourselves to see people happy??

brainwash you? into doing what? seeing people as equals?
my bad
how i am i wrong for equating you with an open racist? what i've seen you write in this thread supports my guess..
i mean if you saw some white person running around saying that white people shouldn't breed with black people, wouldn't you think "wow what a racist thing to say.."?
why does "race pre-empt love when it comes to interracial relationships"? you make these sweeping statements, yet you offer no explanation as to why this is the case..
here is some information that supports my, and many others, belief that race is an irrelevant social construct meant to divide people::

and i will have a blast with Chad, Ian, Liam, Concepcion, Henrique, Flor, Bao, Sumalu and anyone else who doesn't let race get in the way of being with good people ^_^
good day
Permalink Reply by malachi smith on June 28, 2011 at 3:54pm yeah, it's interesting...I never really thought about it as a younger guy, cuz I was close friends with 2 mixed race couples. But just this weekend at an event I saw 3..and this wasn't a huge event, just an art opening. I still don't have a specific opinion, but this weekend made me think about it... is it love or trends motivating the action?
Being "afro punk" or "alternative" in any way to the Black mainstream can be just as isolating as being the only black person at a rock show full of whites. Maybe these guys understood something about where they are in their heads and hearts right now....
Permalink Reply by Carly Zuniga on June 28, 2011 at 4:48pm Where I live, the majority of Black men are dating white women and people accepted it. I dated men from different races and cultural backgrounds and my friends used to called me oreo or sell out. Truth be told, white men love my natural hair more than black men and I have noticed now more white men asked me out so WTF IS THAT? Also, I am noticing that some black men date women who have a standard of beauty....Tell me WTF is that about? So its okay for a black man to date outside his race but if a black woman, who has the same rights and does the same thing, is stigmatized. Come on, we are in 2011, both women and men should date whoever they want to.
@ SIGH
IIt has nothing to do with education, that's just an empty ad hominen attack. A tired one at that. Just respect the diversity of opinion and leave it at that. What is education supposed to do? Brainwash me until I agree with interracial relationships? Lol.
No need to attempt to change my mind by equating me with your imaginary KKK, white sheet-clad Billy Bobs.
The fact that we're of different RACES is what's so offensive about interracial relationships. Race is just so impossible to overlook.
I posted this in the Gender section because this particular topic was about black females. I can request that it's moved to the race section if it makes you more comfortable.
And love is important, but RACE pre-empts love when it comes to interracial relationships...it's the 800-pound gorilla in the room.
As for the "hate speech" comment, I think that's hilarious. I literally LOL'd when I read that because it reminds me of some sorta college protest picket sign. After that, I yawned. Thanks for the laugh though. I don't disrespect interracial relationships, I just disagree with them and I'm trying to understand the spread of the trend. You're free to do whatever you want. Have a blast with Chad, Ian and Liam for all I care! lol.

Permalink Reply by Yank on November 16, 2011 at 5:40pm I hate to politicise love or tie it to any agenda, but I will say, everytime I see a black chick with a white dude I smile, thinking of all the ignant racist fucks I've debated with who've tried to "prove" that black women aren't craniometrically as attractive or feminine as "normal women."
Permalink Reply by Yank on November 16, 2011 at 5:47pm I think race mixing is A-OK, and not just because that's why I'm here.
I get fears that a population will change over time, but it's overstated. The majority of people stick to what's familiar and that's fine. But if many more people here had a brother, or cousin that's crossed over, linking their family trees to other races, I think we'd have a much stronger nation and be better set as a country for the future.
