BLAKROC - Mos Def, Black Keys: Good, Bad, or WTF?

yeh, rock n roll is one of my favorite songs. . . mos has got serious love for black rock. his second album, the new danger features black jack johnson pretty heavily. seems to be out of his head more and more these days, but he's still rocking, so i'm still listening.

Mos is consistently underrated. He could rock over static and sound nice. Black Keys? Reminds me of frightening psychedelic rock.

Gza did something similar with the Black Lips. I feel about the same.

I also think it's great that these MCs are branching out and expanding that fan base. Seems like the rap game has a Logan's Run type of thing going with MCs.

I just read an article by Rob Fields about this project http://bit.ly/1YtVTX. It ain't nothing new to my ears. It seems like Damon Dash is trying to cash in on the "Indie/Hipster" trend before it goes away or better yet,trying to get back on his feet in the music industry.
