... the other Black experience

how do you guys feel about your significant other keeping in touch with ex flings? as in, there was no prospect of a relationship on their part, regardless of how the other party felt.  would you feel comfortable with your boy/girlfriend keeping in contact (via facebook/other online forums..no texting) with someone that once had strong feelings for them, even though those feelings weren't reciprocated by your significant other?

People cheat. Women and men both. My experience leads me to believe that keeping an old flame around when you're in a "new" relationship is just an unused opportunity to cheat. Kinda like the fire extinguisher behind the glass...."Break in an Emergency". Take note, just because they don't have their 'friend' around doesn't mean they won't cheat. It just doesn't seem like they are doing it in your face. My advice would be that if you are really into this person and you think they are real into you that you should tell him/her how you feel. I don't mean give them an ultimatum but let them know you are uncomfortable about the situation.
yeah, that's my situation...I KNOW he wouldn't be comfortable if i talked to my ex flings the way he does on FB, i've even deleted mine...blah. double standards..

The problem with me is, I wouldn't have an issue at all. My wife is friended in FB with two guys she used to see way back when. BUT I KNOW for a fact that my wife would have an issue if I were to friend someone form my past. She SAYS  she'd be ok with it, but I know better. I just wished I understood all this stuff better.
yeah...it's gone too far, he was actually texting her at one in the am...i went off..and that ain't even my style..i'm not even worried about her, but that's just blatant disrespect on his part
