... the other Black experience

Hi guys, we would like to encourage you to take a moment to read about the catastrophe that just hit our brothers and sisters from Haiti. They expect a very heavy death toll and are in dire need of help, as buildings such as schools and hospitals were literally destroyed. Please help in any way you can.

Peace everyone,

We had a benefit concert after hurrican Katrina that raised a lot of money and helped a lot of folks. We are interested in doing another one for Haiti if folks want to get down, let us know.

The best we can do it make donations to reputable organizations like The Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders.
amen!
Please consider these non-profits when you donate www.pih.org or the haiti relief fund (www.haitirelieffund.org). Let's make sure the aid gets in the hands of those who need it as soon as possible.
Music for Relief is also a good one as well. Music for Relief is a bundle of humanitarian relief programs such as Red Cross and spreads the money out among them to help everyone. I really recommend this one as well.

Via the American Red Cross: Send a $10 donation by texting ‘Haiti’ to 90999

Since Haiti has limited resources they desperately need the funds and every bit counts. The most important thing you can do is contribute to relief efforts. That is why Wyclef Jean the musician and philanthropist native from Haiti set up the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund. If you are able, please make a contribution now.
******You can text "Yele" to 501501 to donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund (it will be charged to your cell phone bill) or you can visit www.yele.org and click 'donate'.*****
Peace Everyone,

We are putting a benefit concert together in NYC next Friday and will be donating the $ to a reputable organization that will get the money to the people of Haiti and not take it like some ORG's did during Hurricane Katrina. We are looking for at least 3 or 4 bands who want to get down so if you are interested get at us and let's make this happen for Haiti!
