Haunting my conscious....

In my life I've seen and observed some weird,crazy, thought pondering things..
and one thing or question in my mind I can't escape is Why do bad things happen to good people...and vice/verse??

Bad (and good) things happen to everybody.

There is no law of nature that "only good things can happen to good people" so why would you expect bad things NOT to happen to "good" people.

Karma from past lives is one theory. That through the challenge of bad times we grow and become better, stronger people is another. Also , I've always thought that we experience so much negative stuff here so we won't get too comfortable in a level of being that's not our true home. Like the Police said: "we are spirits in the material world." If we experienced no problems here we would never wonder if there was anything more to reality than met the eye. Furthermore, you can't have light without darkness, they are two sides of the same coin. Without one we would not know the other. I suspect the universe is perfect just the way it is. It's been up and running long before man came along and will continue to do so after we are long gone.
