So, me and my girlfriend's anniversary is coming up in about a few months. As is Valentine's Day. What I need help with is the following thing.
My girlfriend's taste in music mostly lies in what is on the soft rock radio. It runs the gamut from R&B (Joe, Blackstreet) to pop (Jessie J, BSB, the like) to soft rock like Rod Stewart. What I want to do for her is probably something I have never done for a girlfriend for: sing a romantic love song for her. To up the ante, I'm thinking of taking on something cheesy. That means if she wants to hear Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"...then that's what I am going to do.
Why I am asking so early is because oftentimes, when I come up with an idea so quickly, it never gets executed, so I need time to plan out something for her.
So, what I'm looking for from you is this: give me some choices in cheesy or horrible love songs to cover for my girlfriend. If you can't think of any, then just tell me the most romantic tune you have ever heard. I'm sure it makes no difference, as long as it means she hears me.

Though, it probably wouldn't make much sense to sing a song that aims to get to know a girl to a girl I already know. You know?

Easy to play too grab an acoustic and make that girl blush :P
Permalink Reply by Lightning Pill on December 13, 2012 at 9:36pm I'd probably tackle that one on keyboards. Seeing as how I'm not so proficient in guitar playing, I'd have to resort to my favorite genre: electronic music. But thanks for another choice. Judas Priest and Savage Garden.
