EXSPECIALLY WHEN THEY LOOK AT ME AND THEY KINDA BRING THERE INSECURITIES AS A WOMAN TO YOU... IDK WHAT THATS ALL ABOUT BECAUSE I TRY AND SAY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.. BUT THEY LOOK AT ME WITH THESE EYES.. LIKE THEY KNOW WHAT IM THINKING... BUT IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT... ITS PRETTY DEEP LIKE THIS IS YEARS AND YEARS OF HAVING TO HEAR THE SAME THING... AND NOW THATS EXACTLY WHAT THEY THINK. HONESTLY IT MAKES ME VERY SAD..

i totally understand. in this case i am usually the girl complaining about 'here is too fat' or 'here is too bony' to my friends and they think it's fucking annoying which i'm sure it is......and yes it's vain which is ironic because i do believe it's the inside that TRULY matters but in reality so much pressure is on us to look a certain way. it also doesn't help that i was teased growing up those things don't really poof disappear. it's easy for others to tell you to stop being so hard on yourself but it's not that simple....

i am not and will never be a traditional looking girl (unless i get surgery and that sure as hell isn't in my future) so i do what i can to be attractive and i think that's what most people should do work with what they have to it's full advantage. right now i am pretty content being a size two/three and i admit i was snobby about it at first but that is soooo immature. insecurity causes a whole lot of irrational behavior and seeing a distorted reflection of yourself when you're probably just fine. let's keep it real tho, in the real world gorgeous people have an easier time. no? that is why women go extra hard just to be that chick with the perfect skin, perfect hair, and perfect body. (perfect is subjective so whatever your standards are then that's what i am referring to since it varies)

i sound like an air head. *shrugs*
fuck that. be beast. fuck that american ass bullshit
i love the store express and i do wish thay had plus size clothes........ i hate hearing anyone downing themselves....
noticing your insecurities is a natural thing. the issue is whether you give up faith in securing them or not. if you're fine with being insecure and not in denial about your own, you're cool. you wont be phased by your own complaints or that of others. if not then you're a victim and other people usually get pissed off cause they themselves are equally victimizers (in various stages of denial).
I've noticed this before as well. I don't know how involved you want to get at the job, but you might tell them that EVERYONE has some insecurities about their appearance or ask them if they would talk about a friend in such a negative way.

Why? They already vanity size. There can (and are) be other stores that carry plus sizes, Express doesn't have to become one of them to make people feel better. All of America has already taken this stance since we have such a roaring obesity problem and it's not really helping.

I hear things all the time. As a woman you will always face judgments and criticism about your body because a woman's body is 'community property'. Black women are not immune and though the beauty standard may be in reverse it is still damaging and not at all "positive". It's not just an American thing- it's everywhere and has always been everywhere.

95% of women get it from both ends from the self and others and insecure women insult you to make themselves feel better. It's a vicious circle. This is why I don't work in retail anymore- I don't feel like hearing it because there's nothing I can do. You can't really help anyone with things like this (nor should you feel obligated to) people only pay attention to what they find for themselves and change comes from within.
Many of women aren't satisfied with themselves, both thin and heavy. I think the attention tends to focus more on the overweight and curvier, because people expect them to feel bad about themselves , whereas an average size woman's self criticisms might be brushed off as exaggerations.I think the worse thing you could do is make them think you're pitying them, not saying you are, but your reaction could be mistaken for it, which can be taken as an insult. Then again it could be all in perception, you might think they feel one way about themselves, however it might just be a passing annoyance. It's difficult to tell, there are a growing number of heavy set women who are starting to accept their bodies, and an increasing number of brands that cater to them. The stores that sale exclusively to the petite smaller frames find it easier to maintain sales because they don't require specialty sizes to accommodate curvier shapes, it isn't personal , just business.
WELL you know who has amazing plus size clothing.. FOREVER 21./ its really really nice ... i love FOREVER
