Permalink Reply by Rosenda on May 25, 2009 at 6:40pm The last show I went to was Children of Bodom, Black Dahlia Murder, and Between the Buried and Me at the Wiltern. It was back at the beginning of the massive dow plunges in 2008. The bands all played really well.
The urge to go to show after show is waning for a lot of reasons:
Money. It's not flowing like it used to be.
DVDs. Seems like everyone that I would want to see releases a concert DVD after the tour. It's usually 5 hours of great multicam footage+a documentary for the price of parking+gas.
Back in the day Spoilage. Seen way too many really good shows for way less than today's going rate at smaller venues.
Less bands I am really stoked to go see.
I would like to go see No Doubt this summer, but I can wait for the DVD and save 60 bucks.
