I heard about her when I was trying to look up reference for one of my characters who is Black and Chinese. The story I read was sad and shows that the US isn't the only place in the world that has ignorance when it comes to dealing with race and ethnicity.

True.  Chinese and Asians in general are WAY more racist than your typical white american.  Even europeons are racist like americans now, at least the ones that live in america.

 

I tried tracking her down.  I found her facebook page and twitter account.  Both are inactive.   She's was in L.A. last I read, someone heard her story and made moves to get her and her mom to get visas for the u.s.  The President of China was a big help in getting it done. 

 

I hope she pops up so she can know people still support her and sympathize with her.
