AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

Noooo....

it's true.

Lux Interior of The Cramps http://www.thedailyswarm.com/headlines/cramps-lux-interior-rip/

I wish I could have seen them live in the 80s. Rock is dead, long live rock.

Aw fuck! Bikini Girls in Machine Guns was my shit!
R.I.P
Sad, sad day in rock and roll. The Cramps were great live. Some of the most violent pits i've ever see. I think it's that jungle beat.

Lux grew up here in the Akron, Ohio area, and i know his brother, Michael. My condolences to the Purkhiser family.

I always like to joke after Michael fixed a speaker cabinet of mine... I was in the interior of Lux Interior's brother's house.

should've seen em live in the 00's like 06'

This has always been one of my favorite videos! What an idea, let's have the Cramps play a mental institution. It does look like those people were having a good time though.
Damn that's awesome.
The Cramps, one of the best shows I ever saw.

RIP Lux Interior
Yes, I read it out here on the LA Times article link a good friend sent me. R.I.P. Lux.
We went to the best show ever a few years ago, The Cramps did a hellifying AWESOME fun show at the Key Club.

DAMN good band and Lux was GREAT performer. Waaay cool.
I used to always think they were ill because of their lettering and their shirts. I finally saw them around 1990. It's weird how I could listen to and watch thousands of hours of metal dudes being evil and talking death and destruction, but 5 minutes of a crazy hillbilly dude in high heels with a mike shoved in his mouth made me uncomfortable and anxious for home.
