MOTHER OF ALL COLORS AWARD
The burQsgate foundation is currently accepting nominations for its MOTHER OF ALL COLORS AWARD.
The burQsgate foundation is currently developing and producing “FORMATIONSLA: A Celebration of Black Art and Music in Downtown LA”, to be held February 18 - 22, 2009. The series will kick-off with a party and the presentation of several the MOTHER OF ALL COLORS AWARD. The award is presented to women of color throughout the arts, entertainment and professional industries whose efforts embody the spirit of nurturing souls to create better local and global communities.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the e 3rd Street Steakhouse and Lounge, located at 734 E. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Sponsored in part by the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Office, the red carpeted affair will attract a great deal of media attention via local and national outlets. We are proud of the opportunity to acknowledge and honor recipients of the award and have already garnered the support of LADAD Space, the Cultural Affairs Department and the Office of Councilmember Jan Perry.
Please submit a brief letter giving examples of why the nominee is a “Mother of All Colors”, as well as links to corresponding sites, to: theburQsgatefoundation@gmail.com, with NOMINEE in the subject line.
