Well that's cool, but not very helpful...
What do you want to know exactly? The 'hip' area is Capitol Hill, Broadway runs straight through it. Just so you know, black people are not very embraced in Seattle. I lived there 20 years. It gives alot of lipservice to 'diversity' and there are alot of kinds of people there, just black folks are still very marginalized there. But if you are a black male who loves white wimminz you'll be swimming in them. If you're looking to connect with other alt black folks, you may have alot of issues with that.

The central district before the valley has affordable housing but stay as close to the hill as possible. They have a newspaper called 'the stranger' that's geared toward alt folks. You can find housing in there. Why Seattle of all places for comedy?
A couple comedian friends told me Seattle is a good place to grow as a comedian. As far as racial issues go, I pretty much figured what you said about it. But I don't care. I'm there purely to grow as a performer. Are there better cities for smart black comedians?

I guess I don't know what you mean by 'grow as a comedian'. I would thing the obvious place to go would be LA. I can't even imagine there being any sort of comedic scene there at all. But good luck.
