AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

I didn't remember how much music came from the "New Jack Swing era because it came so quick and then Mary J. Bilge came out with 'What's the 411 and the era supposedly ended, well a friend who's a New Jack Swing fanatic was rattling off albums that came out during that time and he surprised me with the depth of his connection to the music. So I had to come with a top 10 "New Jack Swing Albums.

1. Micheal Jackson - Dangerous -1991

2. Guy - self-titled -1988

3. Bobby Brown - Don't Be Cruel - 1988

4. Heavy D and the Boyz - Peaceful Journey - 1991

5. Bell, Biv Devoe- Poision -1990

6. Toni, Tony Tone - The Revival - 1990

7. Keith Sweat - Make it Last Forever -1987

8. Big Daddy Kane- It's a Big Daddy Thang - 1988

9. Club Noveau - Life, Love and Pain -1987

10. Janet Jackson - Control - 1986

Well, kinda redundant mentioning them.  You already did.
All of the above!!! If you get a chance check out the Soul Brother Show podcast on Itunes. He had  New jack Swing episode not too long ago. It brought back some great memories and had me dancing in my seat at work lol. Don't forget Christopher Williams, SWV and Al B. Sure! :)
This Is How We Do It, Montel Jordan.
Love the line where he says, "Ever since I was a Lower case G....". Hee Hee!!
