OPEN LETTER TO ALL LIVING COLOUR FANS ...http://www.livingcolourmusic.com

Dear Sacred Grounders, Myspacers, Facebookers, tweeters, Living Colour fans and beautiful humans of all colors, shades, shapes and sizes...

As many of you know, Living Colour have a brand new record just out : The Chair In The Doorway. It's been getting rave reviews from the press and fans. We think it's now time radio started to pay attention in order to help further get Corey, Vernon, Doug and Will's music in as many ears as possible. If you're up to the task, please call or email your favorite rock radio/satellite station that you're listening to and request the first single "Behind The Sun" or any new Living Colour. Tell them that you tune in regularly and want to be hearing new music from Living Colour, one of America's greatest rock bands ever, on their airwaves.

You can find station request lines and request emails at almost every station's website. Help spread the word on Living Colour and let's get them back to their rightful place on rock radio!

PEACE N LOVE AND ALL THAT GOOD STUFF!

Yeah, they were here in Portland last week. So was Bad Brains.
Unless you got the cash to back it...they're not going play it.
I admit, i never got so much into LC. But i liked 'em atleast alittle in my early teens. Always watched their videos, any chance i had to see 'em on tv. Including one ov maybe 4 or 5 truely good performances ever done on SNL.

They just better not start tryin' to deflate the mystical personna ov long-dead WHITE singers, les, the WHITE-owned records mogels shall bringeth down thy hammer upon thee upity Black rockers once again!
They deserve radio play but it is about what demographic is buying the most music these days and that demographic don't know shit about LC.

Yeah, but i don't think these guys need to depend on abuncha kids for albums sales. What exactly is the "demographic" who buys the most music, anyways? And can't LC be successful enough without having to push so-many millions ov units?

How many albums might you say The Misfits sold up until they reformed in 1996? How much radio play you think they got, ever?

I think their strength is in live shows. I would rather see them having major touring success. Album sales are just extra change in their pockets.
Back when I listened to regular radio, some rock stations would play "Cult of Personality" once in a while. Not sure if they still do.
I wouldn't expect them to get any radio play, especially these days. I mean a bunch of aging Black rockers competing with a bunch of cute emo douches? The music industry has declined so much that taking any chances just doesn't make any sense. I mean they had a hard enough time gaining acceptance while they were in their prime and they churned out a consistently quality product(not saying that they suck now, they don't).

Catch them live if you can. You won't be disappointed. Definitely one of the better live bands you will ever see.
