... the other Black experience

In my humanities class earlier this week I was faced with many questions as to "why Blacks  have not tried to fix their act in america" and, the current state of the "Black community". I was bombarded with question being that I am only seeming Black person attending this class.
I had a couple answers, but they were all met with rationalizations of Black accountability and so on.
But anyhow, I just want to show a critical example that there are and have been clear systematic oppression of Black peoples. Also that their effects still linger on today. I post this one example in hopes to arm you guys in discourse regarding these sort of issues. I feel there are many untold side of these stories we are meant to learn.

You need to study Los Angeles history for this. Redlining was entirely legal and enforced here up til the 60s. My parents told me years ago late Mayor Tom Bradley, a longtime friend from the days Pops went to USC, had to do some underhanded stuff to buy first home for him and his wife in Hancock Park. Bradley made good money as a lawyer, but no matter how much money you had, no realtors would sell to him.

His Jewish doctor friend who lived there helped him. Bradley gave him the money to buy the home he wanted, his friend bought it, then deeded the house back to Bradley in his name. When they moved in to the Hancock Park home, the white neighbors were pissed off but it was legal by then so they couldn't do anything about it.

When things opened up over ten fifteen years later, it was still hard. Segregation in some areas now is more social or based on wealthy versus poor areas, I think.
Also....to get more info, all youd have to do is also talk to some older politicians who lived through it, Maxine Waters, Diane Watson. Also people out here who are Black or Mexican in some retirement communities could tell you all about the history and reality of redlining. I'm sure someone has done some writings online about this too by now very interesting.
enlightening post...
Well I really don't think it pertains to be wholly just a race per~say, but it is still prevalent in certain areas like when you hear about the 'whites only' parking lots. But the major issue I have with it is the red lining against individuals who either speaks about injustice that happening in the world, people who leaves a relationship with someone who is a highly regarded government official, mk ultra victims and/or someone who is good at what they do and refuses to 'sellout' to the government. This topic might also have been created for fear mongering so I ask the creator of this discussion, who are the masterminds behind the fall of the towers? Your refusal or denial will prove me right.

Also look into the history of Public Housing in the city of Chicago...

Chicago is a good case study for systemic Racism in general...
