Rest in Peace Poly Styrene

Former X-Ray Spex frontwoman Poly Styrene (real name: Marianne Joan Elliott-Said) has passed on this morning at age of 53 after losing her battle with cancer (breast cancer I believe).

 

I can't even make a cohesive post right now...

Identity one of the songs of my youth, utterly brilliant. When you think of some of the debates we have had regarding identity on this form its also quite apt to acknowledge your contribution to the punk scene here. 

 

You will be sadly missed Polystyrene.
