Spiderfest 2010

Spiderfest is the annual Ontario backwoods punk fest, held in honour of my late friend Warren "Spider" Hastings, who actually was the sound guy for the first Sex Pistols concert, anyway he devoted the last 30 years of his life to making a crazy scene for the punk kids in the woods on his farm...I remember going to his place back in the 90's and seeing 100 bands in 3 days, and meeting punx from all over the world...anyway, Spider has unfortunately passed on, so in his honour, some friends are putting on an annual "Spiderfest" to continue the tradition of Spider's "Punkfest". (and raise money for a headstone for his broke ass cause he spent all his money partying with us and holding fests.)

Anyway, check out Spiderfest on Facebook, its only about a 5 hour drive from NYC (ok maybe like 7) and we would love some Afro-Punkers to come up and party with us.  (plus we're getting kinda inbred up here and we need some fresh genetic material!)

We have some DOPE bands on the lineup for this year.  If you want to play, talk to me and I will put you in touch with the heads that are in charge of the organizing.  I think there may be a few spots left.

I know its kinda close to the Afro Punk Fest, but imagine how fucking punk rock your summer will be!!!!
