I'm surprised no one really talks about this (cause women need to know to stop this stone age practice) but the reason why douches are still made is because they keep the feminine hygiene industry going.
By douching for whatever you believe you need to douche for (what should a vagina smell like? Roses? we do pass fluids so why would it smell extra-lovely and be spic and span?) actually causes those problems.
Douching leads to yeast infection among other things you have to buy more products to "fix".
To all the men who believe women should douche- the bad smells you smell on women are probably the result of douching (or similar practice like using creams to clean up all that yucky mucous that should in no way be inside a vagina). It's weird how it's cyclic but most gynecological things are. Pun intended.
If you're healthy your vagina has a built in washing system because it's designed to keep us from getting sick. If you are not healthy this could be thrown off and it could be that you need to change your diet or even an existing infection from something else. Either way, get thee to a gynecologist so they can tell you for sure. Most of the time it's just normal.
I know the old timers say cotton panties cause yeast infection. It's funny how wives' tales still fuel how women deal with their bodies. But the most common cause of yeast infection is sex with men who have yeast infection. And since men have no signs of yeast infections they pass it on very easily.
And then, like the article points out those creams they suggest for any secretions (y'know, since it's supposed to be bone dry or else it's dirty) also CAUSE the problems women think they need to douche to get rid of. So it creates a system of seriously unhealthy vagina tampering.
Vagina tampering. "I can't come in to work today because someone tampered with my vagina".

but i always thought it was not wearing cotton panties that could give you a yeast infection. Last time i heard vaginas breathe more easily in cotton underwear. But down the douches its stupid and it get fosters neurosis in women and makes them feel more insecure which means more money for the beauty industry.

I meant that it's not cotton panties that give infections. I heard satin, silk and chiffon were "better" at the beauty salon (lol), no idea why, tho. I guess because they tend to be sexier?
Neurosis, goodness yes. i think it's way worse in women than it is in men, however incorrect it may be I think it's true.

sorry if it seems like i'm not taking this seriously at all, i'm not it's a joke a real joke but there is a market for it like bleaching your skin enlaging your penis with special cream.
maybe they will start selling sperm cream too oddly i know a girl (we aint close) who swears it makes your skin look soft and youthfull by using it like moisturiser\face mask....

Yeah and I'd extended the "porn unreality" to include the nudie and almost nudie mags and other stuff not necessarily considered "porn" (since everyone thinks it just applies to movies nowadays) that expectations of women are formed from.

Women who wear dresses and loose pants have the freshest smelling cooches. Women who keep their cooch hair trimmed or who are not hairy smell even better. Tight pants girls got strong cooch smell. Not necessarily bad but stronger.No matter what every woman can have a bad odor day.
Cooch modification has just as much to do with what women expections ofasthetcs cooch as men's. There's a lot of women who have never taken a mirror and looked at their cooch. Alot of them don't like the way it looks when they do see it.
All that stuff is weird but if it makes a woman feel better I say rock on if it is not harmful.

One issue is why the need exists in women in the first place. The neurosis, the unreality. The falseness that we're supposed to want. Why do we want things that don't represent reality but rather how it's "supposed" to look according to sources of what women are "supposed" to look like.
Rock on and have to get a hysterectomy or suffer from PID, whatever. It's your body and hopefully I won't have to foot the medical bills or deal with the hormonal imbalance.

i say crap and yet i'd get laser eye surgery, can lasers ever be good in the long run. we get educated by something and are enlightened about that subject. you'd think women would know whats bad for intimate parts of their bodies
