At some point I will catch up with Mad Men (back to the library I go, thanks LesY).  Again I've been wary because the hype on the show is outrageous, near Hunger Games hype level.  I saw a recent episode that was decent about the company trying to sign the Stones to do an ad campaign.

Inspector George Gently.  LOVE IT.  Love the 60's visuals and great acting and great stories.

Foyles' War reruns.  Cause it's beautiful Englishside and I never get tired of it and Michael Kitchen.

My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and the new My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding.  Hilarious and sad and funny and weird and sparkly and blingy dresses.

MOB WIVES.  Drita is crazy and funny as hell. Big Ang is a riot.

I heard there is a new Mob Wives Chicago coming up.  Hope it's fun too.

I, Claudius reruns.    I more fully understand and enjoy this series now at the age of 49 then I did when I was in my 20's.

Waiting for more drama to ensue and I get mother is going to kill off someone again soon.

A whole of of great documentaries.  That one about General Butt Naked was sad and scary and he was kind of funny and strange but I believe he is entirely sincere about wanting to make amends.  He seems very realistic about knowing not EVERYONE will be able to forgive his past exploits and job in the army.

The Taqwacore one was quite good and interesting too.  Just saw a rerun of the film about John Lee Hooker last night.  And recently finally saw the great film about Fishbone: Everyday Sunshine.  I so enjoyed that.  I'd never know about the reasons before why the other two dudes went in their own direction out of the band, especially the one guy who sort of underwent a religious conversion experience change.  The animated cartoons of them as teenagers meeting each other in school in the Valley were HILARIOUS.  So happy and funny.

= BOARDWALK EMPIRE season 1 --- I was wrong about the hype from the oepning season, this show is dope.  And should I feel gulity for finding pleausre in seeing Michael K. Williams' Chalky White throttle a racist kraka to death with his bare hands?  Whatever, I enjoyed the onscreen payback (wonder if that was based on Miles Davis' quoted last wish before he died; to "strangle one of them nice & slow").  Anyway the characters & plot of the first season are well written.

^^^ the Don Cheadle show? I need to check that (when I get cable)...

Do you know if The Misfits (Seasons 1 and 2) are on DVD yet?

yeah the series 4 finale for being human uk....was kinda stupid, like there's a huge logic/plot hole--but it was coming and i still look forward to series 5.  versus when it comes to the misfits how they got rid of some of the central characters... the storylines just fell apart.

Same here about UK Being Human.  I just finished watching the second season on DVD but I will have to reserve judgement on season 3.

being human UK -- season 4.  didn't think i'd like it since they killed off three of the four main characters.

You can watch them free on HULU

Gracias Lyn.  ; >

This is actually a web show, but seeing as there's very few British comedies about a black family, here 's a look at this new web comedy from the U.K. called ALL ABOUT THE MCKENZIES:

Found the link in this article, which talks about the lack of people of color in most sitcoms:

^^^ Will check those fully when I a chance.

Just watched part of What not to wear. Glad to see it's back on.

The Devil's Ride. Still fascinated by MCs, but have no desire to ride a motorcycle. I guess it's all the cool vests and patches.

Been watching OZ. Yep the beloved prison drama from HBO. I realized that I hadn't seen alot of it. It's still good stuff.

When is the new season of Shamless starting?
