Did you get who or what you wanted? Did you go for/have a one Validation day fling or solidify and deepen an already strong ready strong relationship? Did you sit at home and eat yourself through it/ Was it just another day?

I got what I wanted for Valentine's day...I spent the evening having coffee with a group of friends, which was nice.  Valentine's Day is overrated; there's too much hype which results in people feeling stressed and miserable because they haven't found the "love of their life" or because it didn't live up to their romantic expectations.
I did, me why cause i love myself and there aint no shame in that that's what v-day is about if your single. goin out and spoiling yourself

I had an alright day. I gave out plenty of candy to my female co-workers. I got railroaded into buying dinner for my fine ass, perfect body having "friend" (who I don't have sex with 'cause I know what that leads to) . Even that wasted $25 wasn't too bad because the food was good, I told her up front that it wasn't a date, I had the money, I have eaten for free at her spot about 3 times, and I avoided the chick flick she tried to convince me to watch with her (at my expense) which reinforces it wasn't a date.

I enjoyed giving out the candy the most. I hated the fake ass hugs that were forced upon me by my unattractive female co-workers. I loved the hate from my male co-workers who actually think me giving out candy is going to make it harder for them to womanize with the temps. Nope, if they wanna fuck you  they will fuck you and I could are less 'cause I don't want them. I also once again got a chance to laugh at my dyke girls' behavior.  You can always tell who the flip-flop studs are when they get all girly or try to sneak a hug from a nigga when then the rest of the studs ain't around 'cause I gave them a box of candy.

Nope, didnt get what I wanted, a date.  But I had a damn good lunch and glass of wine down the block at Redwood, and then after work, my father made me dinner, gave me a box of See's dark chocolates, and treated us to this big huge box of fresh made Krispy Kreme doughnuts that we still have not finished.  My two coworkers bought me Pez fruit candies, and a handful of Nestle crisp chocolates and Hershey's kisses.  My dad gave me a hug and someone else on staff here forever and a day smiled at me and made me laugh. My lovely and loving and very sweet niece who is all grown now and with 3 young kids and her man at home, she sent me a lovely cute message on Facebook telling me she loves me very much.  And I did appreciate all of this as much as I could do.  :)
Had a really good conversation the night of Vday, but beyond that, just another day.

Broke up with my girlfriend the day before.  Don't pity me, it was bound to happen and I saw it coming.  I'd been sending her messages because for whatever reason she could not be reached by phone and was never available for me to see like before. I told my friend E that V-Day is probably gonna define whether we stay together and he agreed.

Seriously I tried to set up date and all that but she never got back. And the day previously I say let's reschedule and she sends a terse text and blames it all on me.  I was like peace, all the best to you.

I'm seriously happy to be done with that.  More focus on me as opposed to giving myself to those who don't appreciate my time and efforts.

Damn, Daoud. That must have been rough. I've been there before. I've always tried my best to end it at least a month before VD. I never been like right up next to Valentine's day before. It's all good though. It's time for spring training. That Spring fever will be in effect and if you want you drown your sorrows in the bosoms of all the ladies that will be on the hunt.

^^^ shoot, that sounds better than what I planned, ha!

On the real, I saw it coming since the holidays so it's no biggie.  I gave her a chance to tap my pockets on V-day but she actually saved me some cash and drama.  The timing was good.  We wished each other peace through the texts (<sigh> yeah, corny as hell but I had no control over that) so it's all good.

Now as for spring training... ; >
