AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

I like the first one better cuz I got to know the characters more and I just felt that in the second one they were trying to put to much shit in there all at once. Some of the fighting sequences were dope as hell but I just enjoyed the story of the 1st better.

Neither. ::snicker::

Now, when they make a movie were Megatron kills err'body, then I'm voting for that one! =P
The first one was better but not by much. I think they should've stopped after that one. I agree that the second one was just way over the top. It wasn't a movie, it was a Michael Bay phallusfest! They both pale in comparison to the cartoon movie from the 80's.
I grew up watching beastwars and the other older transformers cartoons movies, so when I saw what was to come out, I was kinda excited/apprehensive. I liked the first one better, agreed, because of the (existing) plot, whereas the second one had much much better cinematography and effects. When Megadude killed optimus it was fricking awesome!
did the second one have that sand scorpion thing? that was ok. if that's not the second one then i haven't seen it. lol
They're both blissfully stupid, but the second one made me realize how much restraint the first film showed. And I already enjoyed the first film anyway. And childhood memories of the cartoon aside, the scene of the Autobots landing on Earth, instant classic movie scene, for me, in general. Shot beautifully, and the score was brilliant.

Everything was just so forced in the second film. For every joke that had that was a homerun, there were about three or fiour foul balls, if not outright strikeouts. The pacing was just off, too. The first one was just as long, but the pacing and editing were so much better.
Actually, they BOTH sucked horrendously.
Both were made by Micheal Bay, king of explosions and unnecessary car violence; and, ultimately, both movies were trash of the rankest kind to be dissed by future nerds. Both films are destined to be forgotten, despite their cgi glory. Yea the over-the-top zaniness of the cartoon movie was so much better than the mess of Michael Bay. He should stick to his version of "romcoms" (The Island) as he does a good job at making them watchable.
the first most definately.
my bro wants to see the new one, i guess i'll have to go through torture.
