... the other Black experience

There are actually a few Xmen cartoons out there and the newest one I think is Wolverine and the Xmen which is pretty damn entertaining but I personally feel that the 90s Xmen was the best. So what do you guys think because I would just love for all of you to share with me cuz I love your opinions.

90's Xmen!!!! All the way cartoons were alot better in the 90's
I grew up on the 90s one, so that's my fav. There was also one before that, but it only had one episode. I remember seeing it back when I was really young, and later I ended up finding the tape and buying it. Check it out.

I loved the 90's Xmen and enjoyed being able to catch my favorite comic book on tv. But like Spider Man, Stan Lee and the crew
could never make their cartoons do what it do. Like they do in the comics. It always seemed so toned down to me (since the FCC was always watching). But I haven't seen the latest installment of Xmen toons, so I'll have to get back to this once I do.

I know I'm wearing my bias on my sleeve here, but yeah ... that incarnation did seem to carry more gravitas ... at least, it seemed like a "serious" cartoon at the time I saw it (maybe it was the music, and/or the sexual tensions addressed)...

But yeah, my definite fav is the 90's version. Never did see the "Pryde of the X-Men" trailer, though.
90s is the best(x-men).00s was pretty decent ok fine(x-men evolution).09s is awesome and there going to have deadpool in a episode
(wolverine and the x-men)
but i like the new one the most .only cause there going to have deadpool in the future.lol
The 90s version is my favorite. I agree that the storylines were much more mature, some of my favorites were the whole thing with Rogue, Nightcrawler and Mystique. anything involving the Morlocks and Bishop and his beef with Gambit. And then there is Gambit in general. Oh Gambit...

On a side note, I still have nightmares about Apocolypse sometimes...

I really got into X-men Evolution, mostly because it had Nightcrawler who I had recently become familiar with again. Kitty got on my nerves and I couldn't stand Jean/Scott mostly because I loved the Scott/Jean/Logan with a side of Ororo thing that the 90s cartoon had. I also couldn't stand the way the dressed the characters -the younger guys with the sagged pants and then like baby tees on the girls. I actually liked the Brotherhood more in this series. And then they had Gambit in there with no coat and thatwack ass goatee and I was not impressed.

I've only seen one ep of Wolverine and the X-men. It always seems to come on when I'm at work or when I should be doing homework. It was the episode with Hulk in it.

Sorry about the nerdgasm. Anyone want to rec one of the more recent comic book series? I was looking at House of M, Astonishing X-Men and Xmen Noir the other day and wasn't really sure which to go with.
They were all pretty wack to me because they did not follow X-men Canon.

Heres my thing about the 90s cartoon; I still love it, but dammit if they didn't screw the mess out of the comic continuity. They tried to do specific stories from the comics, but weren't always very successful. Not to mention the countless instances of them disregarding relationships between certain characters in some episodes, then having flashbacks in other episodes establishing connections between thos same characters! Pyro introduces himself to Rogue in Seaon One, then the Rogue flashback episode of Season Two shows that they were on the same team back in the day! No to mention the introduction of Angel, and never acknowledging him as a member of the X-Men, but almost EVERY flashback referring to X-Men's early days shows Angel as part of the team!

I also really liked what X-Men Evolution tried to do, because it acknowledge that the X-Men started out as teenagers, and seeing them interact with each other as teenagers, and dealing with their powers was fun and made for ome great stories. But what I really loved is how they built up Apocalypse. They spent like two whole seasons building up to Apocalypse, and you really got a feel for how major this character was.

Haven't watched much of Wolverine and the X-Men, though. The first two episodes were pretty good.
