tough one...

...but only the first movie.

Interesting characters, masterfully played IMHO. There's something that resonates in each one, even though there's nothing I would emulate. I don't collect stuff related to these movies.

There's probably more. But these struck me hard. I don't collect anything but Fight Club gear.
Geez, who could narrow it down to just one?
I know, RIGHT??

The one that pops into my head right now was from that tv show The Saint I used to watch growing up.
I loved the fact that Roger Moore would get into a knock down drag out fight, and not a HAIR out of place, not a WRINKLE in his fly suits. I loved that. It entertained me.

Also, Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner. WOW. He just made you antsy LOOKING at him. My mom and I marveled watching it back in reruns on PBS during the 80's that he was on the run from you didn't know who exactly, and for what crime was never stated, and the man never had a specific name either. GREAT filming too. A friend of mine said she once visited that area where it was filmed overseas and said it was creepy and old and beautiful, those old buildings near the sea and all that greenery.

here is TWO of them but there is so many!!

“Let me tell you the story of Right Hand, Left Hand. It’s a tale of good and evil. Hate: it was with this hand that Cane iced his brother. Love: these five fingers, they go straight to the soul of man. The right hand: the hand of love. The story of life is this: static. One hand is always fighting the other hand, and the left hand is kicking much ass. I mean, it looks like the right hand, Love, is finished. But hold on, stop the presses, the right hand is coming back. Yeah, he got the left hand on the ropes, now, that’s right. Ooh, it’s a devastating right and Hate is hurt, he’s down. Left-Hand Hate K.o.'d by Love”
Hell yeah! How could I forget Radio Raheem! My rhyme name even had Raheem in it at one time probably due to this brother. "D MUTHAFUCKA D!." This is one of Spike's most memorable characters. Buggin Out was good too.

This is my dude right here from one of my favorite flicks. The quintessential eccentric mad scientist. I wanna be like him when I grow up.

Juice was the flick comin up. Everything about it was just cool to me at that age. Bishop was Pac. I think he was able to pull the role off so well because Pac himself was a ball of contridictions as was Bishop. Ultimately he was a great villan because you could tell he wasn't pure evil, just confused and kinda fucked up. Part of you wanted him to turn good, but in the end "he didn't know the ledge".

Daria was my cartoon crush.

People sleep on Yoda. He's a wise and peaceful dude. But he still got skills and will get in that ass if you test him.

My stepfather was really into Spencer For Hire. I'd watch it with him sometimes. Hawk always had Spencer's back. He was one of the first strong images of Black males that I remember seeing on TV as a kid. Most of the Black men you saw around that time were either shuckin, jivin' or effeminate. Yes there are funny, goofy and effeminate Black men but not every Black man is such. Hawk was a reminder.

Soundwave was a cool ass mofo. Cool name. Dope ass voice. Hell, all the rappers are tryin' to sound like him now. He always held Megatron down unlike bitch ass Starscream who was always plottin' on Megatron's spot. if Soundwave ever got locked, he wouldn't Snitch. You know Starcream would sing like a bird.

He was the geek that finally got the girl. That's inspiration. And his glasses were cool.

Albert wins! Awesome list!

Who can forget RADIO RAHEEM & Mookie! How bout DAP in School Daze?

Sad Girl in Mi Vida Loca

Black Mamba

Carlito Brigante

Hedwig Robinson

Muriel Heslop

Lee Loo

Leon & Mathilda
Who could forget Duane Wayne!!

Daria was the greatest. Her series is on DVD now.

I selected Walter Neff from Double Indemnity as one of my favorite cinematic characters because he has a little bit of all of mankind in him. He's a bit square, but he's also a smooth mofo. He's innocent who lets lust corrupt. Great character, FANTASTIC movie, and possibly the great dialogue that you'll ever hear in a movie. It was quite the inspiration during my screenwriting years.

Not really sure why I've a soft spot for Mad Max. Only saw/owned the first movie, but something clicked. Lotta Herman Hesse residue in my head around that time. I do have post-apocalyptic fantasies fairly often; during the last hurricane/outage, half of life (for a lot of people) was simply about where to get gasoline for the day and how long it'll last. I'll own up to having bought a poster a long time ago, but I never bothered to hang it up. Definitely inspiring from a fashion standpoint.

I was far beyond obsessed with Dr. Brown in the first grade. Confiscated an old lawnmower box from my grandparents to convert it into a "time machine" (I had a total of three). No memorabilia, although I might break if I find one of these Happy Meal DeLoreans from 1991...

Roy Batty. Mr. Minority Angst. No memorabilia (I had a "Replicants" patch, but dunno where it is...) Creative inspiration? Not really, which is a surprise to me.

Faith. Watched her during my adolescence -- nuff said. Everything was awesome about her; she was the whole bloody sun...
