On another site there was the typical rapper bitching about black women. Just another day of the week. It was the run of the mill rah rah same as always.
But then he threw this in:
"My girl is Black and White. I guess the half White in her is where she still cooks and do all the shit that I say, so we make it. She just takes care of me and I like that. She don’t be begging and I don’t gotta buy her all this crazy ass shit."
Naturally I was not that shocked at the levels of IGNORANT in that statement. (we are talking a backward ass rapper here)
But wouldn't that be insulting to say about your mate even in jist?
what's your take?

Is it insulting and ignorant - yes. Do all women find it so - no.
My boyfriend works at a barbershop, and he tells me about some of the conversations they have about women. It's a "black" barbershop (95% of the clientele are black), and about half of the black men that go there are dating or are married to white women. A conversation came up about interracial dating, and one man said with such conviction: "The white man took our women back in slavery days, now we're just doing the same thing to them." That statement was riddled with so much fuckery I had to laugh to keep from hunting the man down. Both this guy's statement and Slim Thug's (he doesn't deserve anonymity over this shit) statement are not only insulting to their mates, but they're just a testament to their ignorance. It says that the only reason you're with the woman who bore all 5 of your kids and took your bullshit is because of a 400-year-old vendetta you have against that woman's great-great-great grandfather. Never mind the fact that she might love you.
^^I've heard that revenge thing before, too.
Cause it's all about the men. Well, it is a man's world. We just live in it and have the babies and take the shit. Most of us (women) like eating shit because that's all we can do.
many women don't have a single clue what it means to belong to onesself, and have self respect...
I don't think the not cooking and all thing is a matter of race. That's just a matter of little girls who had to grow up to fast to pick up on the useful aspects of domesticity. I can cook, I can fix stuff, but I don't need some dude buying me swag to feel like a cool chick. Taking pride in yourself and being a female dog have slowly become blurred lines...
