I'm still stuck on WOW but I usually play for months and then quit for awhile and then get back on. I just can't get away

yea i just started playin this thing called City of heros. basically you get to make a super hero with ANy POWER YOU CAN IMAGINE. and you run around a huge world saving people and gifhting villians with other super heros. Its actually really fun you should check it out. if anybody gets it look me up. my hero name is prince plutonis

Me too lately.
I got in just after BC came out. I think the MONTH it came out. I had avoided WoW and EQ and then I did it and it happened, what I feared, addiction! But soooooo worth it for the month I was on 20-24+ hours a day. I was unemployed and looking for IT work -- which means sending out resumes -- so, I had the time.

Made some good friends in New Zealand that are friends today.

World of Warcraft. Can't wait to have money to buy Cataclysm! Again, in the job search mode at Expansion time. :(

Fallout 3 would make a very interesting MMO if done right. Maybe less dirt and more topography with some weather? Dunno.

What was the turning point for you when you went from, "what the heck am I supposed to do and how" to "oh, this is fun!"?

I played the trial, but it was too short for me. I was wondering about, getting ganked, amazingly I won most battles, but I didn't have the chance to really see the potential that I've read about with all the excitement and intrigue. I know, being in the game it would look different as a participant or observer.

Also, what grips you about EVE and when did that take hold?

Same here.  This last  time, just no money to play.  when I can resub, I'm going to play Rift too and Star Wars the Old Republic reboot.  Maybe  Star Trek online as well.  What I'll keep subbing to will include WoW, but beyond that, Modern Warfare Online and Fallout Online would be ideal.

dunegon fighters, vindictus, dragons nest. dc universe is pretty decent as well.

YO, I know this is like 2 years too late.. LMAO my bad. but you have to play past the trial. The most important part is from day 1 set out and find friends, you can get by playing the game solo by running missions and mining and such in highsec, but its alot more fun when you group up with other new players, or even hook up with some vet players.  In the sandbox we call eve the learning curve is STEEEPPP 

I love eve online so much, i've been playing since 2008 and was fortunate to link up with a cool group of guys who i have pretty much been playing with since then.

EVE Online isnt a game you can play solo, unless your some sort of hermit or something
