AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

afropunk 2013

So you prolly clicked the links above on the text box and got some sticker shock. $300+ for a dress? Yep. But the main reason is that you're looking at the top brands of the fashion so they're going to reflect that in their prices.

However, not all lolitas have the money to throw away that much on a set and understandably so. Here's some stores (all online) to get cheaper (comparatively) lolita clothes from and any words of cautions should there be any.

Bodyline

Considered the Wal-Mart of Lolita for the cheap dresses and decent grade quality. Granted, to order from Bodyline, you do need a good eye because occasionally they have some questionable pieces due to a poor choice in fabric or cut. Whatever you do, don't buy the petticoats from there because they'll die quickly and are too expensive for what they are. Try other shops

Tao Bao

Chinese online shops that you will need a shopping service to buy with. Shopping Services are people who buy this stuff for you and sends it to you because the seller does not ship to your nation.

There's also sewing and more stuff to add so if you have something to add, add it here in this thread

Thank you so much for this. I've always *loved* Lolita fashion but it can be pricey. I kew about Tao Bao but not Bodyline. Please keep adding more sources of affordable Lolita fashions here. You may want to post a little tip in the Goth group too since many goths are into Lolita fashion like me. ;)
