Hello Lace is very useful to find stores, methods on how to shop and other very useful pieces of information for new, intermediate and advanced lolitas alike.
And here are the websites of actual brick-and-mortar lolita shops (they're mainly coastal) [and what they sell if mixed variety]
Tokyo Rebel (NYC: various styles) [Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, Alice and the Pirates, Putumayo, Morrigan NYC, Algonquins, etc.]
Baby, the Stars Shine Bright (San Francisco: Sweet lolita)
Angelic Pretty (San Francisco: Sweet lolita)
Black Peace Now (San Francisco: Gothic lolita, EGA)
Harajuku Hearts (San Francisco: various styles) [Putumayo, algonquins, Listen Flavor, Maxicimam, Metamorphose, etc]
Yes they're pricy but more affordable brands will be mentioned in the discussion forum

Comment by Amanda Tea on January 8, 2012 at 7:53pm Just wanted to share that the h. naoto fashion show I was in last year was posted on youtube. I come out at exactly 5.43 but there was also another african american that H.naoto chose to model in the show. I think its neat that obviously this Japanese designer wants to show more representation of other races in his clothes.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOrtQqPsLOY
