For all of my NYC folks - or if you'll be here on April 22 - come check out my band The Children of Warhol and I as we mesh punk, art, and theater to lash out against the obnoxious hipsters, Lady Gaga's monsters and all other pop culture perils that are taking over NYC and others like it across the country. PROTEST ART IS NOT DEAD.

here is the first issue i ever made:

Call for artists:

(Zine artists, this means you)
Bloggers/Podcasters: we'd be honored if you'd re-post.

In a telecom world ruled by smart phones, social networking sites and the incessant need to communicate, Kinetic Exhibit seeks out fresh, experimental artists to explore how the words in our lives have come to shape us.

Our upcoming exhibit Patterns, Dreams & Withdrawal is a sensory reflection on the reciprocal relationship between communication and self-perception. It is intended to dissect how everyday exchanges of ideas, beliefs and labels pattern our behaviors and keep us locked into someone else's dream. KE asks that you join us in this exploration, although we must warn, you may experience withdrawals.

Artists are encouraged to explore the theme from a perspective of nationality, culture, gender, sexuality, familial relations and existentialist questionings in order to create new works of art. However, previous material may be submitted.

Patterns, Dreams & Withdrawal will be on show at a local Dallas art gallery from August 20th-September 20th. All works included in the exhibit will be on sell throughout the course of the month to the general public.

Visit us at www.kineticexhibit.com. If interested, please forward your contact information and we will be in touch shortly.

All mediums welcomed
