AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

Hey everybody!
If you've read any good zines by black zine makers, please share. It's hard to spread the word about zines and they go out of print really quickly so I thought we could use this space to spread the word. Here are a couple I'm really excited about at the moment:

ATAXIA zine by Aidan Aberrant
Awesome zine by a fellow Black Punk! Includes the extensive Black Punk Rock History piece "Black Punk Times" from a 2002 issue of Roctober magazine as well as Aidan's personal experiences in the punk scene and interviews. You can find it at www.strangerdangerdistro.com

Cocoa/Puss zine by Lamesha
These zine is by this Black feminist girl who lives in Washington state. It's mostly about sex and being a single mom. It's so well written. She doesn't hold back and writes straight from the gut! Go here to read more about Cocoa/Puss: http://wemakezines.ning.com/profile/CocoaPussZine and go here to buy it: http://CocoaPuss.etsy.com
