... the other Black experience

the election in canada was put under the shadow of the american election. this is totally understandable as the US election breathed life into politics and was able to engage an entire generation. in contrast, canada had record LOW turnout. perhaps this is due to the "moderated" debates that saw Stephen Harper bombared with questions about his ecnomic plan. this is a fair question, however i did not see the other parties proposing anything better. i especially feel bad for the liberal party for being stuck with such a bumbling idiot like Stephan Dion. Elizabeth May and Jack Layton are no better. do even get me started on this post election fiasco!!!

The American elections were epic…lol. No way we could compete with that. But all that post election drama did get very interesting. It was like a bad soap opera. I actually like a lot of Stephan Dion’s ideas but ur absolutely rite when it comes to his delivery. He needed like 1 year of intensive P.R training (poor thing). In this day and age it doesn’t really matter how sound ur ideas are if u don’t have the physical attributes and oratory ability that we demand from our leaders. He just seemed so meek in contrast to Stephen Harper. =(
In Quebec we had so much voter fatigue --2 provincial elections almost back-to-back (ridiculous $$waste)-- and electoral politics were at high tide, just a fiasco and tiresome...We wanted out of the spectacle and the U.S. election provided something so much less, well, "political" -- something, just simply real!
