Blaxploitation event in my hometown
First of all thanx to Jahlone, he knows why...I don't have everything officially ok but I will "die trying" having it done...For September 28th and 29th I intend to organise and co host a screening ( first day) and a lecture/debate about Blaxploitation and African American culture/history of the 60ies and 70ies (second day). Friday evening (as September 28th is a Friday) you will be able to attend "Black Dynamite" screening, Saturday afternoon, not only you get Melvin Van Peebles "Classified X" but Mrs Soumahoro (Université F.Rabelais) and maybe another guest will give you a lecture about the documentary and Black culture...of course people will be able to express themselves too...Maybe there will be some exhibitions (books, records, posters)...For people who don't know about Blaxploitation, they can go there and search "Tonton Essame a dit" columns, especially the ones dealing with that "B thang" (i.e. Blaxploitation) as Jahlone did....more news to come !!!!!
