1. No why bother my religion is for me not anyone else. i have no need to explain it. if you really need to say something "i know "true god" exists and ill focus on him in my own personal way.

 

2.No explanations needed. if they really want to know about it they'll do as i have done and search for themselves. personal journeys for the win.

 

3. im not comprehending your question. what is the general definition of "gods guidance"? i think realistically people will follow whatever strikes their fancy be it "gods guidance" or any variation between  that and whatever they like.

 

4. i could care less. but i guess if you're being low key about it for safety why not. i live in the south and i didn't exactly hide it. but to each their own.

@Tru Good response. :). What I meant by "gods guidance", I was talking about doing the stuff that jew,muslim or christians or whatever do. Example: going to church. Doing it their way instead of what you do.

Yea. I just don't want to seem like a fake because I won't explain it when I show my pride but then again I don't have to. I have freedom of expression and speech,so, I can choose what I want to say or express. :) Thank you for responding. I thought nobody would never say anything!

1) I use a good argument of simply flipping the tables. If people feel like I'm delusional because I have faith in invisible gods and beings, then they're no different. Having a boat of facts can help tons because the avg. person doesn't know their or religion as a whole inside and out. Usually works for me. If I'm in a fantasy, so are they. I've been told that my Paganism is a phase by Christians and they still think so after I say I've been practicing for nearly ten years so I respond, "Maybe your stint with Christianity is a phase, too." I've even said this to a minister, lol.

2) I don't have anything glaringly "I'm Pagan" but I am asked about my tourmilated quartz necklace a lot. I tell the person it's my favorite stone and that it defines that I'm Pagan to me. I answer basic questions and if people want to ask too much about my faith, I give them my Black Witch business card. Before BW, I would just deal with the roundabout of questions. I would not trust someone simply trawling through the internet for infomation about Paganism, too likely to find something wack and take it for truth.

3) I think so but some people confuse "God's Guidance" with their own biases or mental illnesses.

4) I would, but I don't really like looking at the pentacle/pentagram all day. Instead I might have the Trinity but it doesn't bother me any. If people think I'm crazy for believing in someone, I would tell them "Yeah, most people are crazy, believing in invisible figures and mythos like that." The worst I would be concerned with is just getting fluffy bunnies.

@Kodachi Wowsers. :) Hahaha! I guess so. I would say from analzying organized or should I say mainstream religions, they are practically the same. These questions were to make me feel a little better about what I'm doing, to be blunt with you. I needed some others opinions about things and how they handle their situations ,so, I can be prepared myself. Haha! A phase?  Woow. I take it you been kicked out of every church? Lol. Jk. But yea. Thank you so much for sharing. It means a lot coming from somebody with a lot experience and owns this group. :) My dad tells me he hopes I find "God". Why bother? I already found him....and her in a unexpected way. ;D

As a noob, your best defense is knowlege. Good knowlege works like kryptonite for the stupid. Have knowledge of your religion and of various others to compare and contrast with, it will help you out way more than you'll ever know.

Me kicked out of churches? Nawwww, if anything, I'm pretty respected because of how I'm respectful to holy places. A stupid person is a stupid person tho. I've been told to find "God" myself, I just retort with a, "I think you should too, lemme know when you do." For parents, the best retort is just, "How would you like to be told the same?"

Hmm. I see. Yes, I'll do just that. If you don't mind me asking,what is your main god and goddess you pray to and how did they or you find them. I knew Bast was my main goddess as well as Yemaya (goddess of the sea,moon) due to similar personalities and attractions(I always liked cats,swimming,pools of water,moons!) Ugh. Hope I can get this essay done soon! I hate em with a passion now since I didn't get most of the stuff correct on my other essays. -_- I hate online english 3. Its a 2nd history class!
Anyway, ever since I interacted with them, I seemed to have deeper connection with them. Case in point: I meditated laying up on my bed, invoking Yem( I call her that since I can pronounce her name right) and she looked terribly sad. I saw some big plastic bags and water bottles (hint trash affecting water flow, increasing death rate for water creatures). I promised that it'll get better and I also do my part by not increasing trash on this planet and putting it where it belongs.
So, yea. :) Especially Hermes and Athena which I'm surprised! She just popped up in my head, without my knowledge. I keep seeing owls still. O-o maybe its a spirit guide contacting me or her. I flew around with Hermes in some Greek town while meditating too. Hehe!

I stay super general and don't really use specific gods and goddess unless I absolutely have to. I more often use elementals than anything, more personal for me. I know the Christian god came to me in several dreams when I was wondering if divination was okay back when I was 17 and Pan also came to me in a dream a couple years after that for some reason or another. I don't often work with gods and goddesses so they don't often bug me.

Oh. Wow. Mkays. Speaking of Pan. I have a male deer head at home but all right. I'm still independent in my works of course. It seems to work best for me too. Especially when I do luck spells. Lol.

I can never look at deer heads the same after watching Princess Mononoke. O.o.  that sounds interesting. I was never good at meditating. i feel like i turned up whenever and wherever randomly. i tend to spaz out like a kid hyped on sugar to. cause 9 times out of 10 i don't know when im doing it lol.

Heheh. Yea! I saw that movie in my Animation class! It was really creepy. You'll know when you relax well in meditation that way you'll be able to do whatever but always take deep breaths to slow you down or just soothing scents to inhale. I always use incensse and candles for my prayers and invoking.

i see :) i have the worst habit of falling asleep. so i guess its like i have to a grease trap sort of strategy. i go all the way down into real sleep and hope i have enough awareness to drift back up into that conscious state. :) my alter sits in my room and i kinda drowned it in Egyptian musk lol.  i loooooove that smell so much
