AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

Hello thar, Black Pagans! I would like to ask some questions about Paganism and how you handle it with others since I have trouble with this as a 1 year experienced Witch.

1. What would you do if you came across someone who told you that what you believe is a fantasy, you know that the "true god" exist and need to grow up? (That offends me the most) Would explain the practice to them?

2. If you show off your pagan pride or any kind of pride you have, do you have to explain it? Do you think its best for them to learn more on their own if they are so concern with it?

(Random)3. Do you think most people would be in good conditions if they follow "God's Guidance"?

4. Would you wear your pentacle, post a pentagram wallpaper on your laptop while in high school or college or would hide it due to the fact most people may think you worship devil or just plain crazy?

1. I would not explain my religion to anyone who exerted that kind of attitude. If people show an interest and an open mind, then I may choose to explain certain aspects of my belief.

2. Witches have been discrete for centuries for a reason I think. I show my pagan pride in a discrete way as my path is for myself and I alone. I share the most with my fiancé as he is very open-minded.

3. Yes. Each path for every individual is different which the gods have/God has set out for us.

4. I wear an Ankh around my neck and on my finger, I have put up in the past a photo of an Egyptian temple, a statue or a temple carving/painting, but again I like to be discrete. It is a bit like the difference between a couple that snogs in public to the point of practically having sex at every opportunity and a "normal" couple that keep their intimacy private.

Awwh. Awesome possum. :) I tend to not explain my beliefs unless provoked. You're right. Since it's YOUR path, why would you need the world to know or share it with everyone? Privacy is a good thing though. May post a part 2.
