Hey Y'all!  I just joined Afropunk and I'm looking to get my social on.

I'm a vegetarian, I'm a recent Columbia University grad, and I host a web series in which I run around the nyc area searching for successful creative entrepreneurs to interview.  Check out my latest episode and let me know what you think:  Peace!

We wanna thank everyone that has helped and supported us so far,
because even though we still have quite a way to go, we truly appreciate it.

Now it's time to really put that last effort in for the final stretch..!
So please, pledge, share, get everyone involved
and let's get to NYC!!!

Rush Limbaurgh Raps Jay-z, Donald Trump Wigs out! YINKA AND THE ID RADIO SHOW 2012 US ELECTION SPECIAL!

Nov 7 it was officially all over (even if the Florida count was yet to come in)

Obama got in again!

Or as LL Cool J put it on Twitter:
'Don't call it a comeback he's been here 4 years!'

Some people were very happy, some people were actually more relieved and some actually went nuts (how you holding up Donald?)

Here the tale of the ticker tape as told by your friend from the other side of the Atlantic - Yinka (Sabatta) on his weekly Radio Show.

Featuring music from Nas, Jay-Z, Young Jezzy, Ice Cube, Parliament/Funkadelic, David Bowie and LL Cool J.
Oh - and Rush Limbaurgh tries his hand at rapping!

YINKA AND THE ID airs weekly on Wednesday on Resonance 104.4FM, at 1230pm EST, repeated 930pm EST or 530pm if you are in the UK

@the big shizzle Hey I feel your pain I felt the fatigue and lack of immediate recovery when I first and I tend to run miles at a time and frequently have 2-3 hour workouts...but it's not a lost cause...make sure you pay attention to what youre taking in in advance of a workout a B complex vitamin blend and choline really helped a lot and for recovery make sure your protein levels are on par with a meat diet and soy is more than effiency but definitely diversify with nuts and beans...and if all else fails with recovery a protein shake might be in order I found a great blend from precision

Three months ago I decided to try a Vegetarian diet for better health, but I had difficulty maintaining my athletic lifestyle which includes Martial Arts (Krav Maga and Muay Thai) and Weightlifting. During my Vegetarian diet which lasted 18 days, sometimes I didn’t have the strength to finish my training and my body didn’t recover fast enough for my workout the next day, so I would skip it. My goal is to change my body type from bulky/muscular to a slender athletic frame. Any suggestions from Vegetarians/Vegans who have a moderate to intense physical lifestyle on how to eat Vegetarian/Vegan and maintain athleticism?

I totally embrace this lifestyle and contrary to popular dissent it is a lifestyle and not just a dietary choice! I look at the world differently and I appreciate life and my own health alot more. The hardest aspect is gaining the acceptance of my African family (I've avoided gatherings for a while) because meat is such a staple that supersedes everything else, nevermind the strange looks I get from friends lol...Much love to all of you and take your B Vitamins please! :-P
