Comment by The Big Shizzle (Shade) on June 19, 2012 at 10:21pm Three months ago I decided to try a Vegetarian diet for better health, but I had difficulty maintaining my athletic lifestyle which includes Martial Arts (Krav Maga and Muay Thai) and Weightlifting. During my Vegetarian diet which lasted 18 days, sometimes I didn’t have the strength to finish my training and my body didn’t recover fast enough for my workout the next day, so I would skip it. My goal is to change my body type from bulky/muscular to a slender athletic frame. Any suggestions from Vegetarians/Vegans who have a moderate to intense physical lifestyle on how to eat Vegetarian/Vegan and maintain athleticism?
Comment by UnnaturalSelection on June 15, 2012 at 3:43pm I totally embrace this lifestyle and contrary to popular dissent it is a lifestyle and not just a dietary choice! I look at the world differently and I appreciate life and my own health alot more. The hardest aspect is gaining the acceptance of my African family (I've avoided gatherings for a while) because meat is such a staple that supersedes everything else, nevermind the strange looks I get from friends lol...Much love to all of you and take your B Vitamins please! :-P

Comment by Alex Viceroy on June 1, 2012 at 11:11am so i just made myself a taco with soy chorizo, onion, and a squeeze of lime juice, on a corn tortilla, and it tasted better than the "real thang" try it people? ^_^
Comment by Audrey Melzer on January 7, 2012 at 12:03pm Just mentioned to my sister how I've decided to stick with a vegetarian diet and she went on to tell me why it didn't work for her, that moderation is key and that she would still eat meat. Very annoying. Just 'cause I'm doing something doesn't mean I expect you to. I'm not judging your dietary choice so don't judge mine. I should have kept it to myself. BTW, I'm new and glad to be here!
