AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

I've noticed this for some time men and women being icked out by muscles on women. past Ms universe's were ripped to s**t by people who were outside of the bodybuilding scene female boybuilders became an odd fetish thing for some. The rise of the fitness athlete scene and female bodybuilder slimming down so they'll get more work as models.

Do muscles men not feminine? I can remember being at work wearing a strapless top and this couple were sitting at the bar the girl wouldn't stop staring at me, later her boyfriend who i knew (with his fat behind and thick neck) say's louder than he realises "it don't look right, muscles on women".

I'm thinking whats wrong with them? i've dated guys who been okay with at first then slowly try encourage me to lower the kg and up the reps.

whats your view?

Humanity is biased. Muscles are beautiful and functional. I think the fear is that if a woman is stronger than a man, there's no need for him--which is illogical since women are not self-impregnating organisms.

However, for me, a muscular woman is attractive as long as I can visibly see the sexually distinguishing features such as the the wider hip to narrower torso ratio, prominence of breasts and slender jawline--all earmarks of female anatomy that any figure artist can tell you about. Looking at Boris Valleo and Julie Bell illustrations, the beauty of the strong female form is obvious.

It sucks for poseur competitive types, though.

I agree, the illustration very beautiful but I am in no doubt that if she had less muscle or even no muscle she would be seen as "more attractive" I'm not sure how minimal muscle makes you more womanly fat or thin. Ive always looked up to athletes and runners as beautiful and strong and again noticed when it came to the 100mtr sprinters they were classed as "men" by my male friends laughing as they say it. The adrogynous look is accepted moreover than this i guess because it based more in fashion rather than body aspects.
I think it's incredibly silly that this is even an "issue". It's simply a matter ov personal taste. Some folks like big muscles. Some like soft & chubby. Maybe some guys just aren't that fuckin' picky, geez.
Had it ever occured to anyone that, for some indiviuals, body-building even extreme body building is just another form ov modification?
Maybe you see it that way but what i wonder is why women can have everything a man has (well we had to fight for it) equal rights, equal pay, the right to vote, or even go to prison, but visible muscle is somehow manish and a turnoff i'm not just thinking in the physical attraction
sense....

...hmm maybe i mix my words maybe it is just a outer apperance thing like calling someone a pig or tthinking someones too thin and people thinking you lose something and become less woman like when you gain muscle. It's just people growing or possibly not growing out of stereotypes (big strong man/ small feminine woman) bleckk

body modification? extreme forms of anything could fall into that category taken to it's limits.
