Question: Has there ever been a person of color on the cover of gothic beauty?

I enjoy the periodical but not the whole never seeing fellow brown skinned goths.

I do not think there has ever been, if I am wrong someone please correct me.

If there has not been why do you think that is?

There was one girl who got featured in Gothic Beauty. Her photo is used as the icon for this group. I don't know if there have been any people of color on the cover though. That would be completely awesome. :D
I once saw an asian girl in the back pages of the magazine but not on the cover
I was featured in Gothic Beauty Winter 2004, 4-page Beauty spread, but apparently my facial piercings were no good for the cover.

As I look back on many past covers of GB I do notice that there has only been one cover model (that I have seen)

with an obvious facial piercing ( labret) but still not giving you the cover because of it reeks of fishiness to me.

I have never seen a person of color on the front cover.....What we need is a Gothic Beauty of color magazine to level out the playing field. I don't mean just stick figures with no hips, ass, lips, thighs kind of shit I mean the real deal......I'm talking REAL PEOPLE not just some made up barbie/ken dolls. People of color of different size and shapes etc.

I think there should be a DIY magazine and get it done.

Maybe online?  That way you can get people from around the world to be in

the magazine.

And have features and articles about the people.

It can have free content and articles and news and members only

articles, interviews, and news.

A 12 year girl featured on kidpreneurs on Oprah created her own Black Girl magazine

for the same reason:  no girls like her in the magazines for her generation.

I think it would be pretty cool to have a Gothic Beauty of color magazine. Maybe we could have some of the Goth girls and guys submit photos and articles here. Maybe submit an article about the Goth subculture in your local area. I don't know. It could be fun...
Cool, looks like some people are excited.  I'm looking at you, Felicia and Rochelle.  ;-)
I'm all in.
