Can someone please tell me why Goth clothing is so bloddy expensive?! Don't they know we all don't have trust funds to fall back on?
If you know of any websites or walk-in stores that sell Gothic clothing at resonable price let me know. Or if there's anyone out there who is pretty crafty with a needle and thread or a sewing machine please leave behind some tips and tricks. I think we all might be able to benefit from this one.
Thanx!!!

It might not cost as much as the stuff you find in......hot topic <_< But some of the clothing will be between the price of 50 - 60 dollars. and accessories and most t-shirts will be between 2 - 35 dollars.

Permalink Reply by Lunakiss on June 26, 2011 at 9:21am Gothic Beauty has a lot of DIY projects featured in the mag. I agree ,a lot of sites are expensive, but if you like their style pick a couple of items you like and work hard in saving some money to get them. Or wate until they go on sale. I am womyn who likes good taste in clothes not cheap looking ones. I am also inspired to make my own and style my own way.
A site I found with awesome gloves is called zenandcoffee.com. The designer started off making her own gloves for herself and for her friends and now sells them online. It's so original and unique and under $30.00 fr majority of them. So check her stuff out.
Gothic type jewelry will be expensive. Peter Stone is a great and reputable site that caters to all walks off of life and adding them to your wardrobe can bring your look up a notch in style. The charms they have on the site are like $10 bucks or something like that. His site is www.peterstone.com.

Permalink Reply by Amanda Tea on July 19, 2011 at 1:30am Yes, gothic clothing is expensive, but you don't need it if you have dye and black elastic and maybe some safety pins or anything that can hold fabric together. Take it apart and put it back together. Make your own goth. The only real thing worth investing in is maybe the right shows and maybe a coat. Everything else is D.I.Y.
Idk where you are with your sewing lessons, but when you get good enough to follow a basic pattern, I STRONGLY suggest getting a See-and-Sew Pattern from JoAnn and trying to make your own stuff! Butterick's See-and-Sew patterns are the most affordable and, since they're geared toward beginners, easy to learn.
You can take a pattern like this -->Pattern B5632 or this Pattern B5480 and substitute those weird tropical & floral prints with a black lace, purple silk, etc.
Also, if you haven't this year...make plans to stock up on Halloween fabric NEXT year, 'cause once Halloween is over all the cool bat, witch, and spiderweb fabric go on clearance at JoAnn, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, etc. and make for awesome Gothic & Lolita attire.
